I want you to feel welcome as you learn about life in Cuba. Aside from offering my hospitality, I like to foster a cultural exchange with my guests, delivering a genuine Cuban experience. I can also help you prepare your trip so all you have to do is enjoy yourself.
My house has two floors and has obtained the required official accommodation licenses. Located in the beating heart of the Centro Habana neighborhood, my house is a safe, practical and strategic base, with El Malecón and Old Havana within easy walking distance.
The triple room that I offer my guests is fitted out with all modern amenities: air-conditioning, refrigerator and Internet access via a mobile data card. In addition, the bathroom has hot running water, and I provide all guests with a fresh set of towels.
Every morning, I give my guests the option to start the day with a delicious home-cooked breakfast. I will gladly join you for a pleasant chat in the morning, and we can share stories as we look out of the window and watch the city wake up.
As well as welcoming you into my private home, I can drive you to and from the airport in my car. The last thing you want after a long-haul flight is to haggle down prices with a driver. I’m here to assist you. This is your holiday, after all, so sit back and relax!
I’m a tour guide and I speak Spanish and Russian. I know so much about Havana that I often get called “a walking encyclopedia.” Join me on a walking tour around the historical part of the city, off the beaten path, or let me drive you out to the other side of the bay, where we can enjoy a magical sunset from El Morro.
“We rate this the best accommodation on our trip. We enjoyed the time spent sharing stories in the kitchen. Elio also gave us a warm welcome at the airport on arrival even though it took us three hours to claim our luggage. We didn’t have to wait in line to exchange currency either, since Elio took us to a cadeca the next day and then gave us a tour of the city.”
“We only have good things to say about Elio. He’s incredibly welcoming, kind and thoughtful, and was very helpful with great tips on how to get around in Havana... He picked us up at the airport (which is exactly what you need when you land in a new country). When we got to his house, we were greeted with some fruit and beverages. The breakfasts were huge.”
“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Elio’s. The house is quite well equipped and we had a great cultural exchange on arrival, when the host surprised us with some pineapple, rum, an Internet card, water, etc. We took guided tours with Elio both on foot and by car, and they were amazing. I heartily recommend this accommodation, you wont regret it!”

“We loved Elio from the minute we met him at the airport. After having lunch at home with him and his uncle, he drove us around the city in his car. His house was fully booked, so we were only able to spend one night, but Elio managed to find us another house nearby. We were very impressed with Elio. Every time we walked past his house, we’d stop to say hello and he was always very friendly.”
“Nothing comes close to staying at Casa Elio. He is super friendly and polite, and his house is very cute and clean. Staying with hosts is one of the best things about Cuba, and it truly enhances the experience! Elio provided loads of advice and plenty of history. Before you know it, you’ve made a new friend.”
“Elio is amazing and he has a huge heart. He is all warmth and hospitality. You can’t go wrong with Elio! We didn’t expect such an amazing service; he constantly goes above and beyond to make you feel right at home. We felt like we were staying with a friend or a close family member. Elio was definitely more like a friend than just a host.”
“Elio is so much more than a host. He made us feel right at home from day one. He goes out of his way to make sure everything is perfect. He’s so friendly and he couldn’t do enough for us. The house is very cozy, a typical Cuban construction in a great location in Havana, with everything right on your doorstep. It’s great for anyone looking to get deeply involved with Cuban culture and experience what life is like in the city. He gave us a tour, which was really worth it, as he’s very knowledgeable and shows you all the highlights. He also cooked us a delicious farewell meal - he’s an amazing cook! I only have good things to say about this man. You leave Cuba with a new friend for life.”
“The best host was Elio, in Havana. He was so helpful and made the trip memorable. We enjoyed staying with him so much that we went back to his accommodation after our tour around the country. In fact, we’re still in touch with him. If you want to see Cuba through the eyes of a local, I heartily recommend staying at Elio’s.”
“There are no words to describe what a friendly, thoughtful and wonderful person Elio is. He went out of his way to get a crib for my baby and helped me get food for the kids. He even organized a birthday party for my baby, who turned one on our last day over there. It felt like staying with a close family member. We loved chatting to him about everything under the sun. His house is modest, but very clean (you could walk around barefoot). We’d have breakfast watching the world go by. It was so special. If you want get a taste of Cuban culture, stay with Elio.”
“A salt-of-the-earth guy who goes out of his way without expecting anything in return. We had an amazing experience in Cuba, greatly because of him.”
